Little Smashed Fingers

Ok, so here's another Abi accident story, but this time it wasn't me, it was Babbo - her daddy!
I had to go somewhere and I left Abi in Spencer's loving care.
When I came back the front of her shirt was orange (juice and sweet potatoes) she was missing a sock and a shoe, her nose was a mess. If that weren't enough, I found out that while folding the stroller her fingers got caught. She cried a little, but hey, she was smiling when I got there...
Right after the deed, Spencer met a kind lady who heard Abi crying and had compassion for her and wrote this sweet poem.
Thank you Linda! :)

'Babies Are Resilient'

God gave our precious children
the resilience and the strength.
To except an adults sinfilled nature
not that dealt, in happenstance of fate.

They bounce back like rubber balls
when tossed and tumble bound.
Their skinned knees heal quickly
their sweet laughter replaces
that smile turned upside down.

Pinched fingers in a stroller
screams of pain filling lungs despair.
But with the love and consolation of parent
the child knows that they are cared.

Let's take hats off to these little worriors
they are God's gift to all mankind.
Go and revel in the strenght of your gifts given
for I have, two gifts of mine.

Linda Winchell

Here she is, she still owns 10 fingers, and she is smiley as can be..
.... and she still loves her daddy!
